Compact size, low heat generation and low energy consumption: The new Twin Silicone DVB-S2 Tuner for Dreamboxes with Enigma2 is the result. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology from the semiconductor expert Silicon Lab, the Twin Silicone DVB-S2 Tuner extends the reception possibilities of the Dreambox. It is also compatible with Goliath, the next Dream product.
The new TwinSilicone DVB-S2 tuner is compatible with Dreamboxes DM7080HD, DM7020HD, DM820HD and DM800HDse. The compact single-tuner Dreambox DM820HD, DM800HD se turns into a powerful twin receiver. The DM7020HD increases its potential to four with the new Silicon Tuner, and the DM7080HD even up to five inputs.
The Plug & Play tuner has two DVB-S2 inputs and is easily inserted into the intended slot. On the next boot, the Dreambox automatically detects and configures the new tuner. Further settings can then be made in the Dreambox menu. The new TwinSilicone DVB-S2 tuner supports all common standards such as DiSEqC 2.0 or Unicable.
The new Twin DVB-S2 tuner design from Silicon Labs not only enables a blind scan with the Dreambox, but also channel feeds at unprecedented speed. Even if the tuner is only supplied with TV and radio signals via a cable, programs can be recorded by one transponder and at the same time viewed by others.
The Twin Silicone DVB-S2 tuner is compatible with Goliath and provides a first outlook on the performance of the project, which will far exceed today's possibilities of the Dreambox.
